This week, well, this week was the week I had been waiting, so sit back, relax, and let me inform you. I had a hunch this week to use my 'Bench Boost' with the season coming to its close and for once using one of my bonuses worked.
The action started on Friday night, as Liverpool played Huddersfield. I captained Mo Salah, after debating in my head whether or not I should give it to Sadio Mane or not. Both players scored two goals, as Liverpool romped to a 5-0 home win. Salah, also got an assist, as he set up the opening goal for Naby Keita, so I made the right decision giving him the captaincy. The second Liverpool goal, and the first for Mane, was made by a great cross by Andy Robertson, so together between the three Liverpool players I have, I already had 57 points, after only 3 of my players had played. Good times. Sometimes I do not even get 57 points in a gameweek and I still had 12 players to play.

Saturday, saw the points onslaught continue. Before I decided to use my 'Bench Boost' bonus, as West Ham were away to Spurs in the early kick off, I did not expect them to keep a clean sheet, so I put Lukasz Fabianski and Declan Rice on the bench originally. West Ham would you believe it, went on to beat Spurs 1-0, and the clean sheet points for both players were intact, on top of that Fabianski got bonus points for keeping Spurs at bay in their new stadium. The 3pm games were quite fruitful for me also. Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with Everton at home, and Aaron Wan Bissaka got 3 bonus points on top of his clean sheet. Southampton and Bournemouth had a 3-3 humdinger, Nathan Redmond getting an assist, but Angus Gunn and Jan Bednarek lost points for conceding three goals. My Wolves' double act of Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez did the job for me once again, both getting on the scoresheet as Wolves won 2-1 away at Watford, getting some minor revenge for their FA Cup Semi Final defeat. Jota also got an assist for Jimenez' opener.

So to Sunday, and the first game saw Leicester tuck away Arsenal quite comprehensively 3-0. Youri Tielemens grabbed the first and then Jamie Vardy scored two late goals, I could not have written the script better myself...points, points and more points. Then second game saw me get points I did not want, as Sergio Aguero, just about scored the winner for Man City as they won 1-0 at Burnley. The ball just about crossed the line and got me even more points for what had already been an emphatic week.

My mammoth 147 points saw me finish as one of the top points scorers in the world, I thought that meant I could get one of the weekly prizes, but I did not qualify as upon my research I found out that you do not get a prize if you use one of your bonuses regardless of whether you are in the top 20 in the world or not. Oh well, a great week nonetheless, which saw me climb the table in every private league that I am in, which I cannot have a complaint with.
