Dub's November Premier League Team of the Month - 2025/26

The November team of the month is here. Every team played four matches in a competitive month and another alternative XI has now been selected. This month the team takes on a 4-4-2 formation, in the midfield especially a couple of players were unlucky to miss out. For any new readers, the players are in the positions they occupy in the Premier League’s official ‘Fantasy Premier League’.

Goalkeeper

Bart Verbruggen (Brighton)

Verbruggen kept his first three clean sheets of the season all in November. The Seagulls collected 9 points from a possible 12 as they moved up to 5th place and their keeper contributed enormously. The Dutch international made 10 saves in the month including his highlight when he saved an injury time penalty to secure a 2-1 win at home to Brentford. He also made key stops from Ismaila Sarr and Yeremy Pino in the goalless draw with Crystal Palace to maintain a point.

Defenders

Reece James (Chelsea)

Though naturally being a right back, Chelsea’s captain James has been impressing as Enzo Maresca has been using him in a double pivot in midfield. He was very good in the Blues’ 1-0 win at Tottenham in the Derby to begin November, covering the pitch and showing good quality on the ball. James was also excellent in Chelsea’s last game in the month where they got a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal despite having 10 men for almost an hour. James' corner was headed in by Trevoh Chalobah to put the Blues in front. If he stays fit then this could be his best season for the club.

Nicolo Savona (Nottingham Forest)

Savona was brought in to buffer the squad as Nottingham Forest qualified for Europe. Since late-October however, when Oleksandr Zinchenko got injured, he has been starting consistently at right back as Neco Williams has gone to left back and in November he made a huge impact. He scored from close range to put Forest 2-1 ahead in the 2-2 home draw with Manchester United. He then followed that up with another goal against a big club as he netted the second in the huge 3-0 victory away at Liverpool.

Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace)

When it comes to Crystal Palace’s defenders Marc Guehi or Daniel Munoz usually take the headlines but Lacroix had another solid month and deserves his flowers. The Eagles took 7 points from 12 in November and they kept three clean sheets while doing so. The Frenchman is joint 5th in the Premier League in interceptions with 18 and 6th in clearances with 90. At the other end of the pitch, Lacroix also assisted Munoz’s opener in the 2-0 triumph at Wolves.

Nico O’Reilly (Manchester City)

O’Reilly came in at left back for City when new signing Rayan Ait-Nouri got injured and although now Ait-Nouri is fit he is going to have a hard time getting his spot back. O’Reilly netted the third goal with a low shot in the 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium against Bournemouth. City then beat Liverpool 3-0, and he had a solid game up against Mo Salah whilst assisting the third goal for Jeremy Doku. The month ended with him assisting Josko Gvardiol in the 3-2 home win over Wolves.

Midfielders

Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest)

Now under Sean Dyche’s management Forest have shown signs of improvement as they took 7 points from 12 in November. Captain Gibbs-White led by example scoring in three consecutive matches. First, he scored a header to level things up at home to Manchester United in a 2-2 draw. Gibbs-White scored another header as Forest beat Leeds 3-1. Then in a massive win at champions Liverpool, Gibbs-White killed any small ideas the Reds had of coming back as he slotted in the third goal as it ended 3-0.

Pedro Neto (Chelsea)

Neto is always a threat and his constant runs on either wing opened space for his teammates. Enzo Maresca will have selection issues now that Cole Palmer is back and Estevao has also been doing well. Neto got the 3rd goal against Wolves after a swift counter attack as they swept them aside with three second half goals. He then headed in the first goal in the 2-0 away win at Burnley. The Blues had ten men against Arsenal for a good portion of the game but Neto continued to attack the Gunners and caused them problems.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle)

As new talisman Nick Woltemade had a quiet November after a hot start to Premier League life, Barnes stepped up. His form saw him keep Anthony Gordon out of the starting XI for 3 of the 4 games. He opened the scoring away at Brentford, only for the Bees to come back to win 3-1. He then scored a brace as Newcastle got their biggest victory of the campaign winning 2-1 at home to Manchester City.

Leandro Trossard (Arsenal)

Trossard kept out his teammate Eberechi Eze this month as he did more across varying games. The leaders won 2-0 at Burnley and Trossard’s ball was headed in by Declan Rice. In what turned out to be a much harder game than some expected, Trossard’s thunderbolt put the Gunners 2-1 up away at Sunderland before it ended 2-2. In the north London Derby, the Belgian opened the scoring after finishing off a fine pass from Mikel Merino. He also assisted the 4th goal that saw Eze complete a hat-trick.

Forwards

Igor Thiago (Brentford)

Thiago’s great season continued in November as he closed the gap on Erling Haaland at the top of the scoring charts. The Brazilian bagged a late brace to overcome Newcastle at home. He scored from the penalty spot to give Keith Andrew’s men the lead at Brighton. But then after the home side came back to lead 2-1, the only blemish on his month was a major one as he had a penalty saved in injury time. He responded well with another late brace as the Bees beat Burnley 3-1. He now has 11 league goals in all just 3 behind Haaland.

Brian Brobbey (Sunderland)

In limited minutes Brobbey is this month’s wildcard as he scored two mammoth goals to salvage important points for the Black Cats. Regis Le Bris’ men made things difficult for Arsenal but were staring at defeat when Brobbey, whose physicality had caused issues after coming on as a sub produced a brilliant finish in injury time. Brobbey was at it again off the bench to conclude the month as found the net only six minutes after coming on as they edged past Bournemouth 3-2.
